What is news is that if you don't like it you can return it within 90 days without any penalty. I may have to look into this.

That isn't a bad idea, actually. It's a great way to see if an electric car can fit in your schedule. I just hope they have a clause for people starting a lease, hooning, and returning.

You can't return it for another model. When you walk away, you walk away.

This is heartening on many levels. It shows that buyers are realizing that they might not actually want a Tesla.

As Tesla buyers are exclusively recently divorced men, it shows that they are getting back together with their spouses.

It just gets you out of the rest of the obligation...you're still out the "due at lease signing" costs plus whatever payments you've put in. That's not insignificant with the Tesla...a quick look at their calculator shows it at ~7 grand due at signing.

Better than nothing? Sure, but I doubt it'll be advantageous to many people.

The 90 day return is pure fluff. Nobody is going to take them up on this.

Why not. Seems like a decent way to get a feel for a car if you were on the fence about one.

I meant nobody was going to actually return one.

If they could get the range up to around 400 miles on a charge I would really consider one. I drive 2500-3000 miles per month and sometimes that includes 350 mile days. Seeing that there is only one supercharger in my region right now it just doesn't make sense. I can't exactly go into a customer and say, "hey while I am here, can I charge my car?"

The fuel savings would be amazing. Runzheimer would hate me.

IGN just posted a short article about this. The comments on there are drastically different that what is presented on here.

My favorite on IGN is that someone suggested getting an i3 for cheaper and actually owning it. Someone commented "get at least an i5" [at which point I was about to respond "but they don't make that!"]. Then I read the rest of the post and the commenter said "you cant over clock an i3."

Then I was all like:
